About the event

Rabbi Yosef Goldman is a composer, vocalist, and rabbi whose work brings sacred song into the heart of communal tefillah. Rooted in Ashkenazi and Mizrahi lineages, he helps communities experience prayer as a living encounter—through melody, piyyut, and deep listening—so that tradition feels both grounded and newly alive. Yosef’s melodies are sung in synagogues, camps, and communities across North America and Israel. He co-founded Kedmah, an ensemble devoted to Mizrahi piyyut, and serves as Senior Advisor to Hadar’s Rising Song Institute. He also serves as Senior Rabbinic Fellow for Sephardi and Ashkenazi Hazzanut at The Kitchen in San Francisco. Yoseflives in Brooklyn with his wife, Rabbi Annie Lewis, and their two children
